Most of us think of service as something we do — a task, a role, an act of generosity given from one person to another.
But what if service is also something that happens between us — a quality of attention, a way of meeting each other, a practice as alive and as demanding as silent meditation itself?
In this three-session online program, we’ll turn the lens of Insight Dialogue’s Three Bases — the Meditative, Relational and Wisdom — toward the territory of service. Not service as obligation. Service as relationship. As contact. As a place where our own grasping, our own generosity, our own resistance can be seen in real time, in the presence of another person.
Some questions we’ll sit with together:
- What happens in me right before I offer help — and right before I receive it?
- Where does service become subtly about me, and where does it soften into something more mutual?
- Can pausing, relaxing, and opening change not just how I meditate, but how I give and receive?
- You don’t need answers to these questions to join us. You just need some experience with Insight Dialogue, and a willingness to bring your whole presence into the Zoom room.

Format: Three weekly 90-minute sessions, each building on the last. Because of that, we ask that you commit to attending all three. Each session is offered by a member of the Service Pathway subgroup (Anita Bermont, Susan Wiley, Michael Wilder, Laurie Mettam, Viola Bestmann, Fabiana Gomes)
Come curious. Come unsure. Come ready to look together closely at something we rarely stop to examine.
