How do we grow compassion in these relentlessly challenging times?

Interpersonal relationships can be a source of stress and conflict. They can also be a profound resource for waking up to living healthy, connected lives. Insight Dialogue is a Buddhist-based interpersonal meditation practice that brings the power of meditative awareness into the context of relationships.

Each two-hour session will include guided silent meditation and contemplative dialogue practices that are based on Buddhist wisdom teachings. Each encounter can be recognized as a potential for further awakening. Relationships can turn from a place of doubt and confusion to a source of support for developing insight.

During this course, we will practice with the six meditation guidelines of Insight Dialogue: Pause, Relax, Open, Attune to Emergence, Listen Deeply, and Speak the Truth. Participants will learn to meditate while talking with the support of the guidelines and skillful relational qualities such as compassion, lovingkindness, and appreciative joy.

All are welcome. This course is offered in partnership with the San Francisco Dharma Collective to cultivate interest in a future in-person event.
