Insight Dialogue (ID)  is an embodied meditative practice in which we speak and listen with partners in a dyad, triad, or larger group.

In this introductory series,  we will have an opportunity to cultivate presence, compassion, and curiosity in exploring the shared experiences of the Asian Diaspora.  Please make a commitment to attend all sessions as instructions will build on prior sessions.  Showing up on time every time is a kind of care and effort that will grow the trust and wisdom needed for our community.

We will learn the six guidelines of Insight Dialogue – Pause, Relax, Open, Attune to Emergence, Listen Deeply, and Speak the Truth.* These guidelines will serve as meditative tools, along with the Buddha’s wisdom teachings (dhamma) and the relational support of mindfulness and compassion (sangha), to help us slow down and contemplate what it means to show up as Asian.  How has being part of the Asian Diaspora shaped our body, mind, and speech?  Can conditioned cultural identifications and views be seen, known, and loosened?  Inherited karmic patterns be affirmed and released?

As we contemplate with partners in silence and in dialogue, we will experience the power of mindfulness and compassion amplified. We will see and hear truths reflected individually and collectively.  Together we can awaken to the freedom from reactivities, hostilities, and oppression.
