Current focus of exploration (Wednesdays, April 13th through to July 8th)
“Kindness to self and others”
At a time when we may get caught in fear or reactivity we are invited to double down on developing an open, spacious and connecting heart.
Having investigated heart cultivating practices over the last 18 months “The Wednesday practice group” ends this period cultivating the Bramaviharas with focus on “Kindness to self and others” training our minds and hearts towards happiness and contentment, a heart inclined towards caring for the well-being of all beings and reducing the boarders between self and other. We will investigate Metta, Loving kindness, friendly care aiming to transform the heart towards a state of openheartedness.
There will be practices to engage between sessions support continuity of open heartedness and an opportunity to buddy with others.
Format of practice: Each practice period consists of related guided silent meditation, simple guidance and teachings, related contemplations in small groups and the whole group, short body care practice away from screen, lead mindful movement practice.
Come as a regular weekly participant or drop in when you can.
This group is suitable for any one with established experience of practicing with the six Insight Dialogue guidelines.
There is a strong and established community core group attending regularly with others coming as and when it serves them well. Other teachers and facilitators are invited to offer practice in this group.
