About IDC

Founded by Gregory Kramer, the Insight Dialogue Community is a community of spiritual friends engaged in the Dhamma through practices guided by a relational understanding of the historical Buddha’s early teachings. Its mission is to sustain and share the teachings of relational dharma by developing Insight Dialogue teachers and facilitators and supporting flourishing regional communities of Insight Dialogue practitioners worldwide.

IDC is a virtual global community with no physical space; instead, its communities grow and flourish regionally around the world through online and in-person practice groups and retreats guided by recognized teachers and facilitators. The organization operates on the principle of generosity, and programs are offered on a dana (no-fee) basis. Financial gifts from community members and the generous support of the Metta Foundation have been the IDC’s only source of financial support since its founding 25 years ago.

The organization uses a team-based shared leadership model with one full-time operations manager. To learn more about us, visit the IDC website.
